Fallout: New Vegas, Why You Gotta Be Like That?

I start playing, and you crash every hour or so.  Now, a week later you're patched, but you still crash; albeit less frequently.  While I'm reviewing I'd much prefer rad scorpions getting stuck in rocks to my entire console locking up.
